Full Rehabilitation & Bite Reconstruction
Systematically Rebuilding Chewing Function and Aesthetics

When teeth are severely damaged or the bite has functionally sunk significantly, individual corrections are no longer sufficient. A systematic reconstruction aims to bring chewing function, joint relief, and aesthetics back into harmony.

The Suffering

When Patchwork No Longer Helps

There are moments in life when dental health has deteriorated considerably for various reasons. Years of teeth grinding, genetic factors, accidents, or deep fear of dental visits can lead to severe impairment of chewing function and aesthetics.

  • Lack of Stability When Chewing: Patients avoid more and more foods because solid food simply hurts or because too many teeth are missing or destroyed.
  • Facial Pain: If the bite has sunk deeply through heavy abrasion, the joints are forced into an unnatural position. Muscle and headaches are common consequences.
  • Constant Repairs: Individual crowns or fillings break away because the remaining foundation can no longer withstand the static forces.

At this point, you don't need another individual repair, but a systematic re-planning of the entire dentition.

Rehabilitation from the Foundation Up

Stepwise Reconstruction with a Plan

A complete rehabilitation often begins with the restoration of the original jaw height (bite reconstruction). The affected teeth are provided with stable, laboratory-made restorations (such as all-ceramic partial crowns, crowns, or implants) to best support a relaxed joint position.

In parallel, non-restorable teeth are gently removed. In the front tooth area, veneers or all-ceramic crowns often complement the reconstruction, so the result can also integrate aesthetically and harmoniously into your face.

What Distinguishes Treatment at Our Clinic

Everything Under One Roof

For a complete reconstruction, hand-in-hand work between surgeon, dentist, and technician is crucial. With us, long waiting times for external laboratories are

Patient Voices

Experiences of Our Patients

A Far-Reaching Investment

A complex rehabilitation often requires the involvement of numerous implants, high-quality ceramics from the master laboratory, and elaborate pre-treatment over several months. This is among the most demanding undertakings in dentistry.

Thanks to partial financing through our billing partner, this step need not be an insurmountable financial hurdle. Please speak to us openly about the options.

Costs & Reimbursement

No Flat-Rate Price, But High Cost Transparency

A complex reconstruction cannot be quoted at a flat rate. Scope and costs depend significantly on your individual starting situation.

  • <strong>Treatment and cost plan:</strong> After the initial diagnostics, you receive a detailed and binding plan before any procedure takes place.
  • <strong>Insurance reimbursement:</strong> Insurers pay fixed subsidies for crowns and prosthetic components. Higher-quality aesthetic services are to be borne privately.
Phases of Rehabilitation

Phases of Complete Rehabilitation

01

Assessment & Planning

We conduct comprehensive clinical and radiological diagnostics and develop a systematic treatment concept.

02

Surgical Pre-Treatment

Non-restorable teeth are removed, gum inflammations treated, and if needed, implants placed as new pillars for the later dental prosthetics.

03

Transitional Restoration

To stabilise the new bite height, well-fitting provisionals are placed as transitional restorations. They enable an inconspicuous appearance in daily life.

04

Definitive Restoration

Once the healing periods have passed and the provisionals have proven clinically, the teeth are progressively replaced with ceramic final restorations from the laboratory.

General Anaesthesia as an Option

For patients who now wish to tackle long-deferred treatments in larger blocks, we offer physician-supervised general anaesthesia. This enables more intensive treatment blocks in one session and can be a significant relief for anxious patients.

A complex bite reconstruction is more than an aesthetic undertaking. When joints, muscles, and teeth are back in balance, this can have a noticeably positive effect on your general well-being.

Questions About Reconstruction

When many teeth are missing or have been so severely reduced in height through abrasion (teeth grinding) and erosion that the joints are forced into an unnatural position. Then individual corrections are no longer sufficient.
This depends on the scope. If implants need to be placed and healing periods observed, several months can lie between the first treatment and the definitive restoration. We show you a realistic timeline after the initial examination.
Generally, both aspects can be very well combined. Aesthetics and function are inseparable in a full reconstruction. Form, colour, and position of the new teeth are planned digitally with you in advance.
Yes. Particularly for surgical procedures or very extensive sessions, accompanying general anaesthesia is a common and proven option. We work with experienced anaesthetists for this.
Statutory insurers pay fixed subsidies for basic care such as crowns and prosthetic components. Higher-quality or functionally complex services such as bite reconstructions are often to be borne privately. We always prepare a detailed treatment and cost plan in advance.
